Fashion has always played a powerful role in storytelling.
From iconic movie wardrobes to unforgettable character styles, the garments worn on screen often become part of the film’s visual identity.
We are currently developing wardrobe for the upcoming independent film Complicated Love, and we are inviting emerging fashion designers and small brands to submit designs that may be considered for wardrobe placement in the film.
This is an opportunity for designers who want to see their work move beyond the runway and into cinematic storytelling.
Why Film Placement Matters for Designers
For many designers, one of the hardest parts of launching a new brand is gaining visibility and building credibility.
Film wardrobe offers a unique opportunity to showcase designs in a narrative environment where garments become part of a story.
Selected designs may receive opportunities such as:
• wardrobe placement within the film
• professional production photography and video footage
• costume credit opportunities
• brand exposure through film marketing and promotion
• collaboration with an Emmy-winning costume specialist
For designers developing a new collection, this type of collaboration can provide valuable visual content and portfolio material.
What Kind of Designs Are We Looking For?
We are interested in designers whose work fits the tone and aesthetic of a contemporary film environment.
Submissions may include:
• concept designs
• prototype garments
• made-to-order pieces
• capsule collection concepts
Designs do not need to be mass produced to be considered.
Emerging designers with strong concepts are encouraged to submit.
What Happens After You Submit
Our wardrobe team will review submissions and identify designs that may align with specific characters, scenes or visual concepts within the film.
If your design is selected for further consideration, you may be contacted to discuss collaboration details.
In some cases, garments may be developed or adapted specifically for film placement.
Design Development Support Available
Some designers have strong concepts but have not yet produced their garments.
If a design is selected but still requires development, House Of Vincenza offers professional design development services including:
• pattern engineering
• prototype development
• proof-of-concept garment production
This allows concept designs to move from idea to wearable garment.
Submit Your Designs
Designers interested in being considered for wardrobe placement can submit their designs through our official submission form.
